Davis scores more because he's a superior Scorer, not because LeFraud is taking a back seat.

At best they were co-main guys BUT the fact remains AD should have averaged 18-22 FGA every night during his Lakers' tenure (at a minimum) to LeFraud's 15-18 a game. Instead, LeFraud picks and chooses when he wants to be "the man" and when he wants to play second-fiddle and defer, which is great for his "stats" BUT absolute hell if you're his teammates (especially Davis, who was forced to adjust his Offensive game based on LeFraud's mood... not to mention wearing down his body having to check both his AND LeFraud's man on Defense every night).

But I digress...

FOURTEEN (14) future HOF teammates and a boatload of all-star caliber and/or lights-out shooters around him throughout his 22-year career, and only three (3) non-asterisk Championships to show for it suggests that yes... LeFraud IS the problem. He's been the problem his entire career.

There are plenty of situations where a star wing with a scoring focus will get up more shots than a star big teammate.

Kareem didn't get up the most shots within the 1980-1983 period in LA.
Shaq was almost always outshot by Kobe once Kobe became a star.
Wilt was almost always outshot by West and often by Elgin Baylor in the late 60s/early 70s.

Just being closer to the origin point of offense generally gives wings an easier pathway to shots than bigs who (especially in the past) have to be fed the ball by others. It's not quite as bad now since bigs can initiate their own offense more, but it's still not on the level of their peer on the wing.

AD is *clearly* "the guy" on the Lakers this year. He's been the best player since (IMO) 2023.

This is priceless... a Kobe Kid admitting Kobe was a second-banana on the 3-Peat YET for years (during the endless Kobe vs. MJ/LeFraud debates) he would argue until death that Kobe was a co-lead dog with Shaq from 00-01 onward.
