Old(er) man Jordan in 97-98 was taking 67% of his shots from outside 10 feet. He got 8.8 FTA's that season.
Lebron THIS SEASON is taking 46% of his shots from inside 10 feet....he's only getting 4.6 FTA's.
In fact, Lebron hasn't seen more than 8 FTA's in a season since 11-12.

The lane being wider and contests being more difficult (from spacing) make cross-era comparisons somewhat complicated, IMO.
