Do you think it was a problem looking back that they basically let Harper hand pick a team of his own buddies and that it became this rugged, all white country club MAGA locker room? Do you think they could have used the kind of Latino swagger the Mets employ to keep things loose? Like one or two dread lock sporting, home run pimping Venezuelans with off color elbow guards could have given the team what it needed? Asking seriously.
Not at all. It's not like they weren't signing good players at the time of their signings. Nola and Turner have been underwhelming but at the end of the day I get the justification for both.
What Dave did gave the team 2 realistic shots at winning World Series (last season and the season before). The players didn't capitalize. Maybe that's luck that they made it as far as they did but a lot of signing and drafting players is luck so I don't think he's been bad nor do I question the strategy. He spent money and that's what the fans wanted him to do after getting Bryce.
It seems like they got tight in both seasons though. More so against the DBacks than Houston. I think some Latin blood might have kept them loose.

Real spit separate from wanting to see the homie KUB’s team do well while the grinch Riley anguishes since my official team is out, always out i should say, the Mets really have grabbed a piece of my heart being the good story they’ve been just being here with what seems to be one dramatic win after another. I hate the dilemma i’m soon to be presented with if my default team Dodgers square up with the Mets. The last time I rooted against the Dodgers was when my boy Howie Kendrick faced them as a Washington National and destroyed their dreams with one of the more clutch homeruns i’ve ever seen. This is a tough one, but I cannot go against Shohei, I’m too in love with him now.
I’m like Stars a bit, I need a rooting interest to watch sporting events. I’ll never be one of those cool headed Abe fags that just watches games for the meh of it just hoping for a good game for me to analyze and discuss over.
My bad for the trauma dump, this was part therapy and part confession for me.
Thank you for listening

I’ve seen that face before, which usually means it’s not going well for the other side.

Get set to get rekt KUB.
Kike and his crew dont give a fuck!
Best of luck bro. I was more worried about San Diego and their bullpen but now that it's the Dodgers it's hard not to be intimidated by the star power. I hope we fuck you up and keep the ride going but Dodgers are obviously strong.
I know I've complimented Joe Davis in the past but holy shit is the bias palpable. I hope he loses his voice permanently. Guy has me absolutely triggered, I'm probably muting for most of game two.
Either Mets vs Yankees or Yankees vs Dodgers is going to wreck any nba finals ratings over the last 25 years. Congrats MLB. You will finally get one of the two series you’d been praying for
Dodgers are the better team, no shame in losing to them. They don't swing at anything out of the zone and despite the injuries they still have a ton of quality arms.
Great run for the Mets, special team and a special mix of players. Hope they at least don't let LAD celebrate on Citi Field.

It was a helluva run, fun ride. Dodgers/Yanks seems inevitable now which is gonna be nuts, despite the cute little late game heroics yesterday by Cleveland in the 9th-10th.
