He's probably right in a sense, but he's also had very good fortune in terms of his environment and situation that is extremely atypical for a number three overall pick.

Not having a major breakout moment or bigtime series likely doesn't help.

Those 3 have 48 combined playoff wins and zero rings.

Tatum has 68 playoff wins and a ring....and is likely to add a bit more to that later this year.

Tatum is somewhere between "cornball brother" and "autistic", but he's going to be a top 5-10 player for a good long while, minus injuries and freak accidents.

A title, a few all-NBA teams in a top era, top 5 MVP votes...I wouldn't trade that for the memes and "aura".
