I was not that. I thought the Lakers clearly won the trade but the one thing I will say I was wrong with was how the Lakers would be worse in the short term. I thought the play-styles of LeBron and Doncic would overlap too much. Clearly wrong there.

Mavs also pointed to MAJOR concerns about Luka's conditioning, or lack thereof... noting that he ballooned up to almost 270 pounds (!!!) this season, and he's supposed to be in the absolute physical prime of his life!! Dallas believes this laziness has had a direct impact on his injuries and durability issues... which sounds a lot like Zion and some other guys, but anyway.

This would also make sense, and certainly is cause for concern if you're going to pay the guy hundreds of millions of dollars on a long-term contract.

Makes you wonder what the Lakers are thinking, TBH. I mean, the guy certainly isn't going to be inspired to play Defense in LA, not with LeTreeStump setting the tone on that end of the floor... and as for his conditioning, perhaps Luka will be introduced to LeFraud's 'connections' down in Miami.

We both said we liked it longer term, but that we thought the Lakers defense would be brutal short term. Turns out, we were wrong on that front. AD must be overrated defensively

FACT #1: The Lakers have yet to accomplish anything with Luka.

FACT #2: The Mavs are missing their 2nd best player (in Kyrie), so we won't have any idea about how the trade works for Dallas until next season.

FACT #3: The Lakers were coming off a bottom-feeder 37-win season ("led" by LeFraud - lolol) when Anthony Davis joined the team and took them to a Championship the very next year.

In other words Luka has a LOT of work ahead of him.
