 at Lakers' fans crying for a Big Man when they just traded away one of the best two-way Bigs in the NBA... a guy who took the Lakers from a 30-something lottery team (under LeFraud) to NBA Champions in just his first year with the team BUT THEN quickly became the LeScapeGoat for the next 5 seasons as the alleged leader of the team (LeFraud) failed again and again and again to inspire his teammates to greatness.

Hell, LeFraud FAILED to get the Lakers out of the first-round OR into the playoffs altogether five (5) out of the seven (7) seasons he's been in LA... and THIS despite playing alongside a TON of talent.

 at anyone foolish enough to believe this bum is on the same planet as Jordan, nevermind better.

Oh, and BTW... his boy LeBronny is under contract with the Lakers for another 2 seasons (with a team option for 2027-28), so it looks like there's a good chance Lakers fans are stuck with this LeLoser for a while still.

We needed a big to deal with Jokic after we had AD out of position trying to guard him the last 2 postseasons, and now Gobert exposed the fuck out of our most glaring weakness. For all of the sexy moves we’ve made, how has this not been resolved in at least the past 3 seasons? Mark Williams, and that’s it?

Breaking up the 2020 team was a big mistake, they had the perfect combination of outcasts and misfits.

This is why I'm hesitant to call Pelinka a great GM. For every good move he's had, he makes 2 bad ones.

He's pretty awful, and Luka fell into his lap. But it starts with bad ownership, Jeanie is a woman and not a particularly bright one. So she's been dog walked by Magic, Kobe (RIP) and Pelinka since taking over the team, none of whom are good basketball executives.

You can't outrun a stupid owner.

Sad to see (many) Lakers' fans completely blind to the REAL cancer on the team... LeFraud.

This bum had at the time (arguably) the BEST two-way Big in the NBA, who came in and INSTANTLY took the Lakers to the Championship... but instead of LeFraud giving up the reigns and allowing the team to build around AD as the centerpiece, LeEgomaniac insisted on forcing himself into the lead-role and the results speak for themselves.

NOW (many of) these Lakers fans are wishing for a dominate Big Man (again) after they traded Davis for what they believed to be their next savior (Luka), who led his Mavs past three (3) HIGHER seeded teams last season... only to have him join forces with LeFraud (this year) and prompty get embarrassed in the first-round by a LOWER seed.

When will these people realize LeFraud is the problem...

The trade was a no brainer and the Lakers weren't lifting a trophy with Davis or Luka. However with Luka they are set up much better in the immediate and long-term futures.

Also is AD really this defensive difference maker that I've been told he is? Because watching him get his rear end absolutely brutalized in consecutive seasons by Nikola Jokic would suggest otherwise.

Or is Jokic so incredibly deadly, legendary and untouchable that he can even absolutely punish a defensive stalwart like AD?

Which is it, TDK?

To be clear, I actually had mad respect for the Lakers' organization right up until they caved-in to LeFraud, and allowed him to impact/influence trades, draft picks, etc.

Had they built around AD (with LeFraud playing second-fiddle OR even less than that with respect to Scoring, but with emphasis on Facilitating and Defense) the Lakers probably win another title or two with AD... at the very least they advance deep in the playoffs every year.

Instead they throw Davis under the bus, trade him for Luka (who just led the Mavs past 3 "higher" seeds last season), and now have their fans scrambling for every excuse under the sun for why the Lakers got bounced by a lower seed in the first round.

Yes.. Kobe and Luka would win numerous Championships, as would Luka and AD. LeBron is just an empty-stat Cancer... we've seen it throughout his entire career.

Not while LeFraud was still the centerpiece, no way... had they made Davis the main piece and built around him/his strengths/his game (with LeFraud taking a back seat), they would have been much MUCH more successful.
